We recommend contacting a wedding planner as soon as you get engaged. Well, maybe not right away - take some time to enjoy your engagement bubble, and then wait to be bombarded with endless questions like “Have you set a date? Where are you getting married? Am I invited?” before the stress really starts to kick in - just watch it happen!
In all seriousness, we love working with our couples from the very beginning of their planning journey. Our wedding planning service covers ALL aspects of your special day, so this means we can negotiate the best deals for you upfront, find the right vendors to reflect your style, and bring the best out of you as a couple.
Working with a wedding planner early on is also a great way to ensure no important details are overlooked. We recommend locking in any priority vendors like your wedding venue (duh), church, transport, photography, videography, hair and makeup ASAP. These vendors can fill up quickly, especially in the spring and summer months. Having a wedding planner on board means you can lock in your dream team and enjoy total peace of mind moving forward.

We recommend contacting us between 6-12 months prior to your wedding to discuss all of your styling needs - the sooner, the better, so we can secure your florist and other styling suppliers, especially if you have your eye on someone in particular.
With this being said, we have over 10 years of industry experience and can tailor a beautiful styling concept for you in a shorter (or longer!) turnaround time if needed.
As styles and trends within the industry are constantly changing, our initial design concept isn’t set in stone - we can change it up, scale it back or totally revamp it to suit your taste and budget along the way. We thrive on a creative challenge!
What's included in your Styling Fee?
We LOVE our job, but we don’t work for free. Our styling fee covers all of the admin and organisation required to design and execute your vision. There are no physical elements inclusive in this fee - this is the fee for the services and time spent by Bella Mia Events.
There can be some confusion around exactly how much work is involved to bring your wedding to life. As your dedicated stylist, we take care of all back-end correspondence, send all of the annoying emails, source and compare quotes, design a tailored styling concept and organise all styling and decorative elements including floristry, tableware, draping, lighting, furniture, stationery etc… you get the drift.
Plus, on the day itself, we’re there to oversee the production of your event and ensure everything is set-up and styled exactly as it should be. Our styling fee allows us to pour our heart and soul into each and every event, and go above and beyond to deliver your perfect day.
Can I work with my own florist?
Yes, we are more than happy to work with different florists, provided they meet our standard of work here at Bella Mia Events.
Floristry is something that should be considered carefully, especially if flowers are a priority for you. There are many different florists out there who offer a range of different styles and price points. However, as a stylist, we have the experience to recognise whether their quality of work matches their pricing and whether you’re actually getting value for money.
Believe it or not, there are "starting set prices" we don't recommend going below for certain arrangements. We use this pricing as a guide to ensure you receive florals of a decent size and fullness, without costing you an arm and a leg. Remember, in this industry, you get what you pay for - and if you opt for a “cheap” florist, it’s unlikely you’ll be satisfied with the end result.

Do you charge a minimum spend?
Unlike other stylists who are more concerned with maintaining their brand and image, we don’t charge a minimum spend. We like working with couples of many different styles and budgets.
During our initial consultation, we’ll chat through your vision for the day along with your guest numbers and recommend a good starting budget to work with from there.
We pride ourselves on being honest and upfront with our couples, and will always go the extra mile to ensure you’re getting the best value for your money.
What kind of weddings do you specialise in?
We’re best known for designing epic celebrations packed with style, creativity and attention to detail. Our signature aesthetic is modern, timeless, a little edgy and contemporary, with a focus on creating an unforgettable experience for you and your loved ones.
With this being said, no two weddings are ever the same, and your event will be totally customised to reflect who you are as a couple and what you’re all about, and with us on board, you can rest assured it’s going to be a damn good party.
